Hatteras is the closest area to the Gulf Stream other than Florida, which makes it a fantastic departure point. The trip by boat is on average only 90 minutes. So, you'll get more fishing time with a shorter boat ride. The waters off of Hatteras are rich with deep sea varieties such as Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish, Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, King Mackerel and Dolphin, just to name a few.
